The Quilted Jacket

On our first project we made a quilted jacket. It was a long sleeve jacket with quilted patchwork.

There was a book published in 2024 bye Rae Crumbie and Carrie Emerson called sewing quilted patchwork jackets.

The word jacket comes from the French word jaquette which refers to a small or lightweight tunic.

Many jackets are designed in a way to be fitted. A long sleeve tunic style jacket is ideal for everyday wear. It is also warm and practical.
